Crochet Sweater Wrap Scarf Pattern

Here is another thing that I have made that I will not get to wear like I intended. As soon as I showed our daughter this Sweater Wrap Scarf I heard “I want one!” It is easier to tell myself we will share, but I know it will end up in her closet.

Even though it is something I made for myself, I am not disappointed at all that I have to share. I think it shows how beautiful it is, how cozy looking it is, and just how fun it is!

This pattern is fairly easy to make. With chain stitches, single crochets, and double crochets only being used, you will be surprised at the ease it goes together. The difficult part of the entire pattern is counting the chain stitches at the beginning of the wave body section and not loosing track. The next row after that sets up the wave pattern, so making sure no stitches are missed and the pattern is in order is the next hardest part. The rest is simple counting and easy to follow the stitches in the row below as a guide.

The Yarn Bee Yarntopia that I used is silky soft, and has just enough of a rich sheen to add elegance, but not too much to look flashy or cheap. This wrap will be my go to (when I get to wear it instead of daughter) wrap for over short sleeve or sleeveless dresses in the winter. This Sweater Wrap Scarf is plenty to add a layer of warmth, but not dowdy looking like a cardigan can sometimes come across.

I am looking forward to seeing how much my daughter and I wear this. How we dress it up, if it becomes our warmth while watching outdoor soccer games, or if it becomes our go to couch cuddle wrap. Let me know where, and how, you will be wearing yours!
