Gauge – 1×1 ribbing – 4×4″ = 28 stitches and 32 rows
Sizes – Baby (Toddler, Child)
E-wrap cast on 92(100, 108) needles, 46(50, 54) on each side in a 2×2 rib pattern.
K 12(12, 14) rows.
Change pattern to 1×1 rib.
K 28(30, 33) rows.
Decrease 1 stitch every 4 needles. Then move all stitches onto consecutive working needles in a 1×1 rib pattern. 74(80, 87) needles now in work.
K 6(8, 9) rows.
Decrease 1 stitch every 5 needles. Then move all stitches onto consecutive working needles in a 1×1 rib pattern. 60(66, 70) needles now in work.
K 5(5, 6) rows.
Decrease 1 stitch every 4 needles. Then move all stitches onto consecutive working needles in a 1×1 rib pattern. 45(50, 53) needles now in work.
K 2(2, 3) rows.
Take a length of yarn and using a large needle thread through all working loops. Take work off of needles and pull closed to form top of hat. Then seam two sides together. Weave in ends.
