At the end of 2024 I shared my Crochet Wrap Sweater Scarf, and I had to bribe our 12 year old that I would make her one so that I could wear it. She loves it so much that every time I wear it she gives me a jealous look.
I decided to make her’s a knit version, and used tuck stitches to create the texture in the scarf portion that wraps around the body.

I really enjoyed the look of stockinette in contrast to the tuck fabric, which is worn with the purl side as the right side. So, the sleeve portions are made in stockinette with a simple 2×1 rib for the cuff.
While the experienced machine knitter can easily create the ribbing and tuck stitch with a ribber and machine patterning capabilities, my little LK150 does not have any of those features or options. So, all of these are done by hand selecting the needles for tuck and hand transferring the few columns for the rib.
The tuck patterning is not as complicated or time consuming as it sounds as long as you remember what your carriage is set to do through the rows. With a needle selector push bar and changing the carriage to knit needles in hold or not makes the work go quicker than you think.
All of this is shown in the YouTube tutorial so that there are no questions on how to achieve the look on your own.
Now, any bets on if I can talk my daughter into sharing this one with me, or do I have to now make one of my own?
