The Open Air Dish Cloth I designed thinking about the Waffle Scrubby my husband liked best of the Scrubby Trio patterns. Since the Waffle Scrubby is crocheted with both strands of cotton and scrubby yarn held together, I did the same with the Open Air Dish cloth using Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie and Scrubby held together to give a durable thickness to the material.
The dish cloth measures 8 inches square with an open stitch motif. These motifs will be great at being able to get a section of material to scrub a stubborn section of food stuck on a dish. The motifs are made using Double Treble Crochets (yarn over your hook 4 times before inserting into the stitch – further instructions are in the pattern), and with the height of these stitches the dish cloth works up quickly.
Included is a chart to show the rows visually, and helps give a better idea of how the stitches work together.
I hope that you will enjoy this dish cloth as much as I have enjoyed designing it.
