The Across the Land Dish Cloth came about after thinking of what I liked about the Dual Duty Scrubber. I like using the Dual Duty washing dishes because you have a large section of both materials, giving you enough fabric for any type of dish washing needed. With Across the Land I made each side using the different yarn for unique textures. This gives plenty surface area of each texture and also a nice and thick dish cloth when combined.
To join the two fabrics together, while holding both strands of yarn together, you single crochet evenly around to join and finish the edges. An option is to leave one side open and then it can become a mitt by putting your hand in between the two fabrics.
The thickness of the dish cloth reminds me of a cleaning sponge. Thick and squishy with one side being soft and gentle, and the other side capable of doing some scrubbing. The Across the Land is bigger and more capable than a sponge, and also made out of pretty yarn in great colors.
No matter what you come across while washing dishes you will have just what you need to get the job done with Across the Land Dish Cloth.
